About Eat Surreal

Eat Surreal is an independent, woman-owned small business based in Indianapolis, Indiana, making small-batch spreads and salads from whole-food ingredients.

Founder Brittney Baxter describes herself as "first and foremost a foodie," with a passion for providing real, whole foods. During the pandemic, she pursued her entrepreneurial ambitions and created Eat Surreal's line of products. In her words:

"I wanted to create something that everyone could eat and enjoy together despite dietary differences."

Brittney saw a gap in the market for dairy-free cheese alternatives: most were built on nuts. So she created spreads for people managing both nut allergies and dairy avoidance — using ingredients like tamari to keep the flavor big while meeting those dietary needs. Every Eat Surreal product is dairy-free, nut-free, and gluten-free, and made to be a "school safe snack."
